Since
graduating from college with a degree in Art History, I have dealt in
both antiques and art in different capacities. I owned a contemporary art
gallery on Newbury Street in Boston for several years, where I imported art from Eastern
Europe, Germany and Sweden.
However, my real passion is antique furniture, especially 19th century pieces from Central Europe. So, I decided to use my connections in the art world to establish relationships with antique dealers, especially in Germany. In 2000, I opened Boston-based Patina Antiques specializing in authentic Biedermeier pieces. I admire the clean elegant lines, the beautiful veneering and the functionality of these pieces. In 2005, I expanded the business to include additional furniture styles with antiques and decorative accessories from Italy and more Central European countries. So, there's a lot to see!
